Q. I am a 38-year-old male suffering from a skin problem for the past 9 years. I get blisters on the front part of my penis under the foreskin which disappear in a few days only to reappear after some time. Please suggest the treatment.

A. If you have had a premarital exposure, the chances are that you may be suffering from herpes genitalis. The kind of infection you are talking about is a ping-pong type of infection. It might be possible that you have given the infection to your wife and she may in turn be infecting you. That could be a reason why you get it again and again. Alcohol may be a precipitating factor and should be avoided. Consult a dermatovenereologist who will be able to exactly diagnose the problem after-examining you.
