You don’t need to spend a fortune to get the right eye makeup. Some of the most successful manufacturers make the least expensive products, and by and large when it comes to eye makeup, my experience is that a hefty price tag doesn’t always spell out better. It is true, however, that some of the more exotic colors are not as readily available in drugstore eyeshadows. But before you spend all your cosmetic dollars on wildly colored shadows, try one of the salons that offer house brands or private label cosmetics. Some of these carry a very wide and unusual assortment of shades. But remember that the most gorgeous shades imaginable won’t look right if you don’t know how to apply the product.
