Liposuction Before and After
The liposuction before and after pictures certainly don’t lie, and there are ample pictures available on line. When you look at the liposuction before and after pictures, you’re probably seeing a bit of yourself in those images. After all, don’t we all have an area or two that could use a bit of a lift? But how do you know if you’re going to be a great candidate for liposuction before and after pictures of your own? And what does the procedure really entail?
Making Your Own Liposuction Before and After Pictures
If you’re healthy and you care a great deal about your appearance, you’re already fast on the track to being a great candidate for liposuction. Easily the most popular cosmetic treatment available, liposuction reduces the fat cells in a particular area of your body so that you appear trimmer and you have visibly reshaped that region.
Liposuction is an option considered by both men and women. While not a method to lose weight, liposuction is a great way to reshape areas of your body that you’re not happy with. Perhaps you’re seeing too much of a pouch on your lower abdomen. Or that little roll under your chin is making your face look and feel fat despite being at or near a healthy weight.
From saddlebags to spare tires, the human body likes to hold on to fatty deposits and even with the most stringent exercise routine and diets, some of that fat you simply can’t shake. This is where liposuction can come in to make a difference. Liposuction removes about five pounds of fat at a time, sometimes more and sometimes less. The point is to reshape an area of the body by removing just a bit of fat at a time – it’s not an answer to weight loss concerns.
The liposuction before and after pictures are hugely telling of this impressive transformation. When you look at pictures of a patient’s legs, for example, you may see that the before picture had a batch of loose fat on either side of the thighs. These saddlebags aren’t flattering and they are almost impossible to get rid of, even with diet and rigorous exercise. So using liposuction, the after picture reveals how much trimmer and smoother the legs look following the actual procedure. By simply targeting the outside of the thighs, the body is shaped differently and the liposuction before and after pictures tell the tale better than any other options.
If you’re considering liposuction to create your own stunning liposuction before and after pictures, there are many kinds of liposuction now available, and you’ll want to take some time to research all of the various options available as a means to finding the best one for your body type and problem area.
Traditional liposuction uses larger cannulas, or suction tubes, to remove fat. This procedure has improved over time and is much less invasive than it was in the past, but it is still the longest recovery time when you look at other options.
Ultrasonic liposuction is relatively new and uses ultrasound technology to aid in the collection of fat. By hitting the area with ultrasound waves, the fat is loosened from the surrounding connective tissue. Once it’s loose, the doctor is able to collect the fat and surrounding fluids without damaging nerve cells or surrounding tissue. This means that the recovery time from the ultrasonic lipsoution is much faster than the traditional version, and ultrasonic liposuction is also a way to target particularly small area like the chin, neck or arms when removing fat.
Other forms of liposuction include using vibration to help loosen fat cells prior to removal and in some cases sound or other waves for the same reason. The premise of all of these treatments is that by losing the fat cells and targeting them ahead of time, the fat in your targeted area is removed more quickly and the process is finished with greater precision and with faster healing times.
When you elect to undergo liposuction, you’ll have appointments ahead of time to discuss the procedure and you’ll be given instructions as to how to prepare for the surgery. Some smaller liposuction options are available in your doctor’s office, but larger procedures take place in nearby surgical centers and in some cases, you may be held in the hospital overnight to monitor your recovery and progress for a day before you’re released home.
In large surgeries, you’ll be put under with general anesthesia. In smaller surgeries, in particular those done in your doctor’s office, you’ll be using a more localized anesthesia. Following a smaller surgery, you’ll be closely monitored and then sent home to recover. You’ll want to be sure that you bring along a friend or family member to be sure that you get safely home.
Great Liposuction Before and After Pictures
Your doctor will take a picture of you before the surgery and you may ask a trusted friend or family member to take a picture as well so long as you’re appropriately covered. This is the before picture, but you’ll have to wait a few weeks, perhaps even a few months before you’re able to see the true after pictures.
Following your surgery, you’ll be given compression garments to wear over the area that was treated. These help to position the skin over the area and encourage it to retract. The more elasticity and snap your skin has, the quicker it will recover and move back into position where the fat used to be. The ideal result is a smooth skin tone over the treated area. The majority of the swelling will go down in a few weeks, but you can expect all of the swelling and reshaping of skin and tissue in the treated area to take a bit longer than that.
When it’s all said and done, however, opting for liposuction means that your pictures – the before and then, finally after all that waiting, the after – will be amazing. Who knows, perhaps we’ll even see your liposuction before and after pictures online someday.
