Stress on the positive: As I mentioned earlier in these pages most women as a matter of fact most human beings have some clear cut or distinctive quality and feature all his/her own. I referred to this in the earlier pages. You should try and find out what your distinctive quality and feature is. Once you have identified that, bring it out and capitalize on it (it could be your outer and/or inner uniqueness) and when you have done that you will acquire that individual mark of beauty, which is your very own. This is the easiest way to bring out your uniqueness. And make imperfections or flaw if any fade away.

Tip: Stand in front of your Mirror and find out what it is that you possess that you like about your ‘visual’ self. Be kind to your self and glorify only the positive at first (just ignore the negative, know that whatever negatives you have can and will be eliminated as soon as you decide that you can do something about it. Every flaw or liability can be made to fade away or minimized or corrected and that is possible if you are prepared to do whatever is required. For ‘starters’ today and now just stand there in front of your mirror in the privacy of your room (strip off your clothes) and look at yourself – admire every single inch of your body and your face. You will find plenty to admire and be proud of. Try this for 10 minutes every day for about 2 weeks and see the change that you notice in your attitude about your own self.

Outer Glory! As we touched upon this earlier ‘Beauty pleases other people’s senses as well as sight’- that’s what the Dictionary tells us. And many women decide they don’t have what it takes to be beautiful if their features don’t match that of a film star or Model. By the way not all film stars and models have perfect features, some of them border on to being even below average or mediocre. However these women too have a secret they have found a way to make others believe that they are beautiful by working on making themselves appear more attractive to others and to themselves. They work hard on their personal grooming, diet, exercise and their beauty needs. They learn to accentuate their assets and to camouflage their flaws. They acquire a confident poised posture by regular practice and learn to present themselves at their very best. This is what any woman can do.

How are we going to achieve that? I can tell you that it is not easy but it is achievable if you want it to be so. Let’s get on with it then  Follow these steps: Go back to your personal beauty diary and go through the points you have noted down and proceed: 1st Step Examine and analyze your Assets and Drawbacks.

Take a pen or pencil and make two sections, mark one column" Assets and the other Liabilities" now write all your assets and liabilities under the appropriate column, make sure you include both appearance and personality traits. Both are equally important.

Do not just pay attention only to the liabilities, be fair about listing your assets accurately too because it is your assets we have to accentuate to make you look and feel more beautiful while we find a solution for the flaws. Our liabilities are of secondary importance.

I will discuss how the flaws can be eliminated and the assets accentuated in more detail- as we proceed.

Start with your figure: Do you know your figure? If you are overweight or underweight  list it down, it could be that it is not so much your weight that is the problem it could be the distribution of that weight e.g. Top heavy or hip heavy, flat ‘chested’ huge tummy, thin legs or fat thin dry arms etc these could be the disparities which distress a lot of women. Or it could just be the way you carry yourself!

Well proportioned elegant shoulders, well toned graceful arms, lean writs, and slender ankles, smooth soft silky skin, nice sexy tummy, (need not be dashboard flat) in fact not being dashboard flat is very sexy. Trim waistline, well proportionate breasts are all huge assets that any woman who possesses them should be proud of because these are invaluable assets.

Let’s talk about ‘Height’, experts have discussed this often and it has been studied by beauty experts that height is neither an assets nor a liability … It has been seen that it is an asset if you know how to make it an asset. However it is really up to the individual. If you consider it a drawback than it will be a drawback in your mind and so you may list it as a liability. Until you work on increasing your concept of what beauty is and isn’t you are going to have to pay attention to how use your height whether too tall or too short and learn to use it to your advantage.

Tip: Elizabeth Taylor was barely 5ft 3 inches tall and she was considered the greatest beauty of her time, and even today is considered as one. Some of the most successful models are above 5ft 10 inches. Brook Shields another beauty from Hollywood is 6 feet tall. So yes height is what you make of it.

YOUR FACE! What is the shape of your face, your eyebrows are they well shaped or bushy? Or are they non- existent from over threading and tweezing? What about your eyes, your complexion your mouth? List every asset and liability – be fair and honest and don’t be too harsh on yourself. We tend to be too critical of our own selves so ease up on your self somewhat!
