Before thinking of make up, let’s think of skin care. This involves looking after your skin and preparing the skin for receiving make up. A healthy, well cared skin is the ideal base for make up. So we can say that skin care is the first step to good make up.

Fallow this 3 minute before applying make up for fresh and bright face.

1. Start by applying cleansing milk on the face and neck with your fingers. Gently massage with your fingers in an outward and circular motion for a few seconds. Wipe off with a damp piece of cotton wool or splash water on your face, to get a perfectly clean face. Pat dry with a clean towel to dry the face.

Caution: Never stretch or pull your skin while applying or removing the cleansing milk. Use the ring finger to massage around the eyes. Move the ring finger from the inner corner of the eye to the outside and then under the eyebrows with extremely light and feathery strokes.

2. Follow up with a toner. To remove the greasiness which appears on the face after the use of cleansing milk, you definitely need to use a toner. Put a few drops of toner on a piece of cotton wool and apply it on the face and leave it on. It contracts muscles, refines (shrinks) pores, absorbs all the oil and grease immediately, leaving behind a fresh, radiant skin. Use it to see the immediate difference it makes to your complexion!

Tip: For extra oily skins, use astringent Lotion instead of a toner. An astringent is a strong toner which effectively removes excessive oiliness besides toning and refreshing the skin.

3. Finally, use a moisturizer with your finger tips on your skin to make it soft, smooth and glowing. It also provides longer wear for make up. It takes care of your skin by not only putting back your skin’s lost moisture but also preventing further moisture loss. It also helps in the next application the foundation, which spreads more easily if applied over the moisturizer, making the foundation blend smoothly with the skin.

Tip: For a healthy, well preserved skin, follow the basic 3 minute skin care routine of cleansing, toning, moisturizing also at the end of the day to remove dust and stale make up. So, remember to follow this routine twice a day before make up and to remove make up at the end of the day. Remember to always use a sunscreen during the day time on top of the moisturizer. This will protect the skin from pollution, sun damage and dehydration.

Sequence of Complete Make up:
1.
Wash face with cleansing milk as given on page 10.
2. Apply a toner as given on page 11.
3. Apply moisturizer as given on page 12.
4 . Start by using a little foundation so as to get a very thin layer of foundation to even out your skin color. You may even use a cover stick or concealed to conceal marks, dark circles and blemishes.
5. Brush powder for the matte finish as it controls oiliness.
6. Blush your cheeks, according to your face shape.
7. Do up your eyes with shadow, liner, kajal and lastly mascara.
8. Finish by defining the lips with a lip pencil and lipstick.

Removing Male up Post Make up:
1.
Put eye makeup remover on a cotton ball to take off eye makeup. This routine is very important as it avoids unnecessary tugging of the eye area.
2. Use cleansing milk with cotton wool to take off surface makeup.
3. Face foaming wash can then be used to take off remnants of the cleansing milk and pollution.
4. Toning should be done straight after cleansing, as it balances the PH level of the skin.

5. To finish, apply a moisturizer.
Note: Even if your skin is oily, a moisturizer is important after washing the face with soap to avoid dryness.
