Any cosmetic that can be used to add a “blush” of color to the cheeks can be called a blusher. We usually see it in one of three forms: powder, cream or a liquid/gel. Powder blusher. This is most women’s favorite. Apply it with a brush over foundation and over face powder.
Cream blusher. This comes in a compact or stick form. Use your fingers or the stick applicator to apply it over foundation and under powder. Liquid or gel blusher. This is usually the most transparent of the blushers and the trickiest to apply. Use the applicator or your fingers to apply it over foundation and under powder. Blushers also come in matte and glossy finishes
