What This Means in Terms of the Shades You Wear

If you have been wearing the same shades of lipstick for years, don’t be shocked if you can no longer find them in the stores. Without these colors, manufacturers are going to be limited, and shades are going to have to change. Lipsticks have already become paler and softer, and unless safe substitutes for some of the old colors can be found, they are going to stay that way.

You have probably already noticed it happening and thought that it was totally a matter of style. Not so. Health and safety were primary considerations. But if the cosmetic companies were to inform you that these colors had not been thoroughly tested until recently, and when such testing was done it was found that potentially carcinogenic colors had been included in a product you used on your lips, it might alter both their image and your attitude toward lipstick
